Meet Kiera Wilson
As a young rider growing up in Southwest Florida, Kiera was blessed with a solid foundation in classic equitation under the tutelage of Butch Manley. As her riding and showing developed into a passion for the jumper ring, she moved on to train with Carole Wilson (a protegee of Margie Goldstein-Engle) for her remaining junior years. During that time, Kiera participated in clinics with Margie Goldstein-Engle, Kathy Kusner, Betsy Steiner and Michael Dennehy.
While attending the University of Florida and competing on their IHSA team, Kiera had the opportunity to ride and clinic with many knowledgeable trainers including Scott Hoffstetter, Amy Foster, Ken Edwards and Sergio Campos.
Each of the talented professionals listed above have influenced Kiera's training techniques, riding style and overall horsemanship in Hunters, Jumpers, Equitation, and Dressage.
Kiera's life-long love for horses and riding eventually evolved into a desire to share her knowledge with others. Teaching is something she is very passionate about!
Kiera customizes each and every lesson to accomodate you and your horse's current issues, fitness level, and personal goals. During lessons, she works on strengthening each rider's weaknesses, and she creates a plan to help each rider reach their short and long-term goals.
Kiera is also a licensed Equine & Farm Insurance agent for Connaway & Associates. Feel free to give her a call anytime to discuss coverage options and pricing.
Saltwater;
It's what we do.
"My husband has been a coral hobbyist for over 15 years, so it was a natural process to name the farm Salt Water Stables. We decided to split it into three words so that the crest in our logo could hightlight our last name, Wilson.
Horses come first in our family, but saltwater creatures take a close second. We have about 300 gallons of saltwater tanks at the house, and they are absolutely gorgeous!"
